A few weeks after defeating Miguel Cotto in the ring, world famous boxer Manny Pacquaio returned home to his province in the southern Philippines to begin his campaign for a seat in Congress.
Pacquiao is known for training for his fights with an unparalleled level of intensity. He approaches what may be his biggest challenge yet- winning a seat in Congress, with the same passion and determination.
Life on the campaign trail has a frenetic pace, with the demands of each moment requiring a different focus- yet Pacquiao’s transitions between responsibilities is seamless.
Days and nights are spent on the road, where the only constant is Pacquiao’s generosity – he finds the time and energy to meet the needs of friends and strangers alike. Although winning this latest fight is his clear focus, he also finds a needed balance by spending time with his family and engaging in favored hobbies such as piano and billiards.
From his most private moments, where he wakes up and plays with his daughter to those in the most public arena, surrounded by hundreds of supporters, this series of photos captures the many facets and layers of Manny Pacquiao’s life.

Alexandre Dupeyron, franco-german, is an independent photographer, graduated from the Emi-CFD, the only Parisian photography school, specialised in photojournalist. He spent three years based in Morocco to cover all the African continent, working on assignments, on commissions, creating stock images and corporate works.
